Luxury cell phone maker Vertu unveiled its Signature S Design, an update to its flagship Signature line with more streamlined design, Wi-Fi and 3G. The Signature S Design is designed to assist global travelers by integrating quad-band, HSDPA 3G high-speed (850/2100 MHz), and Wi-Fi Internet functionality in over 180 countries. The Signature S Design features a specially designed mechanism allowing one to remove the SIM card without the need for removing the battery cover, it is also one of the first phones to feature an OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) display. The highly complex patented keypad contains 4.75 carats of solid ruby bearings each cut. All the ringtones featured on the Signature are composed exclusively for Vertu by composer Dario Marianelli and the music was performed by the London Symphony Orchestra with all solo flute pieces played by flautist Andrea Griminelli.
